Dear ANTS Members.

We are conducting research on the current state of teaching and learning non-technical skills (NTS)  or human factors in entry to practice  (undergraduate, graduate entry) health professional education (Nursing, Midwifery, Medicine, Paramedicine,  Allied Health) and invite all members to complete an online questionnaire.

The information you provide in this questionnaire will be used to inform the development of a PhD thesis for which ethical approval has been obtained (Project Number CF12/3958 - 2012001891) from Monash University Human Ethics Committee. The questionnaire should only take 15 minutes, and your responses are completely anonymous.

For the purpose of this questionnaire NTS are defined as “the cognitive, social and personal resource skills that complement technical skills and contribute to safe and efficient task performance” (Flin, O'Connor, & Crichton, 2008). This includes skills such as teamwork, communication,  situational awareness,  leadership,  decision making,  task management and coping with stress and fatigue.

If you have any questions about the questionnaire or the study, please email Monica Peddle: mrgor1@student.monash.edu

Further details regarding the study are available in the Participant Information Statement which is attached to this post.  We appreciate your time in completing this survey.
