The Standards provide nursing educators with a framework for educational practice that can be applied to any educational setting or level of educator experience. A nursing and or midwifery educator is Registered Nurse or midwife that specialises in the education of nurses and midwives. They teach nursing and midwifery curricula at colleges and universities, prepare future nurses and midwives for practice and provide continuing education to registered nurses and/midwives within the healthcare system.
